Using Rain Dance will mean Jolteon potentially takes a hit, but it also means Thunder ignores its 70 accuracy. Thunder has 110 power and Jolteon gets a same type attack bonus (STAB) when using it. There are plenty of decent movesets you could use with Jolteon in Fire Red/Leaf Green but my preference is to include the Rain Dance and Thunder combination. It also has access to a fairly broad movepool. With a speed stat of 130 and a special defense of 110, Jolteon is an impressively effective sweeper.
